Alan Virgil Kitzman, age 77, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022. He was born in Clintonville on January 3, 1945, the son of the late Virgil and Erma (Schoen) Kitzman. He graduated from Clintonville Senior High School in 1963. The same year he moved to Oshkosh and worked for Badger Lumber, then Mercury Marine and retired from Leach Company after 39 years in 2005. Alan served in the Army National Guard from 1965 to 1971. In 2012 he married Anabel Bisinga. They enjoyed their travels together which included the Philippines, Las Vegas, Branson, MO and Oklahoma. After retirement, he enjoyed the Senior Center, playing cribbage with his friends at Jerry’s Bar for many years and looked forward to tending bar at The Keg. Alan spent many enjoyable years fishing on Lake Winnebago, and mornings drinking coffee with his friends.
Alan is survived by three daughters: Christi Horan of Florida, Jennifer Kitzman of Kaukauna, and Ashley Kitzman of Oshkosh; three grandchildren: Kayla (Jared) Halverson, Adam (Sophie) Fisher and Allison Fisher; great-grandson, Jett Halverson; sisters: Joy (Bill) Mader and Ardis (Bill) Aston. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Phillip; brother, Owen; and nephew, Ryan Aston.
A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Most Blessed Sacrament, St. Mary Site, 605 Merritt Ave., Oshkosh, with Rev. Jerry Pastors officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Oshkosh.
