David Edwin Janke, Age 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister, Elaine McDonald. David was born in Oshkosh on December 31, 1937, to Edwin and Adela (Grohskreuz) Janke. David, a Navy Veteran, lived his whole life in Oshkosh, where he was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church. He retired from Hoffmaster at the age of 63. He enjoyed watching sports (especially NASCAR), traveling with his wife, going to rummage sales, and spending time with his family. Throughout life, David also loved comic books, going to the casino, working in his shop, being a great Dad, and most of all, being a grandfather.

David is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Gloria Janke; his six children: Marshall Guyette, Ted Guyette, Tom Guyette, Mark (Vicki) Guyette, Linda (Rich) Tyler, and Laura Guyette; grandchildren: Mason, Megan, Naosha, Elizabeth, Misty, Daniel, Adam, Jordan, Brandon, Marshall, Kyle, Dylan, Ashley, and Hunter; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews: Dorothy and Greg, Donna and Tom, Doug and Joan, and Duane.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church, 913 Nebraska St., Oshkosh. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
