David “Dave” A. Johnston, age 74, of Wild Rose, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Theda Care in Neenah, surrounded by his loving family: wife Sue, daughter Pam, and sons Andy and Alex. David was born on August 5, 1944 in Chicago the son of the late Roger and Beatrice (Erickson) Johnston. He served in Vietnam while in the Army. Afterward he did some traveling and decided to settle in his favorite spot, Wild Rose. Along the way he met his wife to be, Sue Frost of New London. They were married on May 24, 1969. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary this Spring.
Dave and Sue had three children: Pam (Dan) Gosenheimer of Wild Rose, Andy (Pam English) Johnston of Oregon, WI, and Alex (Katie) Johnston of Wild Rose; six grandkids: Ben, Travis, Carter, Owen, Scarlett and Dane, who he loved to the moon and back. He is further survived by his sister, Mimi (John) Jacobs, and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Sue Aukamp.
At David’s request, there will be no services.
