Obituary for Dianne Wilcox

Dianne J. Wilcox, age 76, went with Jesus on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. She was born in Manitowoc on December 25, 1945, the daughter of the late Jesse and Dorothy (Wheelock) Strong. On July 30, 1966 she married her husband of 55 years, Edward Wilcox. Dianne was a CNA for many years, working for Ripon Hospital and later for Parkview Health Center. She was an avid football fan, which included all games and teams. Dianne will be remembered for always being happy toward others and her love of Christmas. She loved camping, camp fires, fishing, driving to Texas, the woods, old movies, dancing and just about everything.

My beloved Dianne was involved in using solar lights for spreading the word of Jesus in Africa. She unwaveringly supported and financed. There's millions of people that don't have electricity. So far it's up to 800 to 1000 believers.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Edward; children: Ann (Lance) Thern, John (Wendy) Wilcox, Mary (special friend, Jimmy Phillips) Wilcox and Robert (Kristalee) Wilcox; grandchildren: Erick Thern, Jessica (Aaron) Tobison, Michael Wilcox, Lucas, Noah and Julia Henslin and their father, Brian Henslin, Mitchell, Edward, Ryelee, Simeon and Jaylee Wilcox; and great-grandson: Anthony “Tony” Tobison. She was preceded in death by a miscarried child and grandchildren, who the Lord has named.

There will be a 12:00 p.m. visitation before the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church, 1526 Algoma Blvd., with Rev. Tom Voss officiating.

Although it is tough for us that Dianne has left this Earth, we can rejoice in looking to the future when we will be reunited with her in Heaven.
