Donald P. Kolz, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. He was born in Antigo on April 18, 1930, the son of the late Paul and Kathryn (Rettinger) Kolz. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On August 29, 1951 he married Marilyn Slinde who preceded Donald in death on December 28, 2006. Donald was proud to work as a mail sorter for the U.S. Post Office for many years, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed traveling with Marilyn, as long as they drove, all over the United States, which included the occasional casino. Donald was an avid sports fan and the Cubs was his team of choice.

Donald is survived by his children; Dale (Karen) Kolz and Peggy Kolz; grandchildren: Christopher Kolz, Billie Kolz and Randi Kolz; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Kolz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; son, Steven Kolz; grandson, Mark Kolz; son-in-law, Dan Urbanek; and siblings.

It was Donald’s wish to keep services private.
