Dorothy Mae Jungwirth, age 95, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. She was born in Oshkosh on May 5, 1926, the daughter of the late Edward and Maude (Cronk) Freiberg. On October 5, 1946 she married Florian “Sonny” Jungwirth. He preceded her in death in 1988. Dorothy was proud to be a homemaker, raising 10 children. She was a very good seamstress, a great cook, and active in Ladies Aid, Sociables and Dorcas Circle, all at Trinity Lutheran Church. Dorothy will be remembered for the love she had for her family. She loved spending holidays with her family, and her trips to Door County.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Richard (Jean) Jungwirth, Laurel (Gerald) Madel, Ronald (Kim) Jungwirth, Julie Jungwirth, Margaret (Lawrence) Siebauer, James Jungwirth and Amy (Steve) Gurlt; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Florian “Sonny”; children: Gary Jungwirth, Greg Jungwirth and Mary Jungwirth; and brothers and sisters: Edward (Lorraine) Freiberg, Robert (Bernice) Freiberg and Lorraine (Kenneth) Roob.

A private memorial service will be held. Donations in Dorothy’s name may be given to your local Humane Society or to Day by Day Warming Shelter, 449 High Ave., Oshkosh, WI 54901.
