Obituary for Fay June Williquette (Wagner)

Fay June Williquette (nee Wagner) – a beautiful, amazing woman and friend to so many, went to the arms of the Lord on September 26, 2021. Fay passed away peacefully at home with her loving daughter by her side. She was born on November 7, 1937, in Milwaukee to Bernard and Cora (Faust) Wagner. Fay married her loving husband and soulmate, James Williquette on May 21, 1960 at Sacred Heart Church in Oshkosh.

In her younger years, Fay was the dancing queen of Iowa, winning a trophy for best dancer in Des Moines. She showcased her dancing talent every Saturday afternoon on a local dance TV show in Iowa and entered many dance contests, winning many trophies along the way.

Later in life, Fay was an expert sales lady, working her magic with Sarah Coventry Jewelry. She used her creativeness in the family run business, Willie Gifts with her son, Scott and mother, Cora. She brought her talent to St Peter’s church picnic every summer by running the craft booth and greeting everyone with her infectious smile. Fay was a long time of member of St Raphael Catholic Church. She helped organize the Soup and Sermon Ministry for many years.

Fay leaves behind her much-loved daughter, Cheryl Williquette (Thomas Binner) and son, Scott (Jane) Williquette, grandsons Allen (Jamie Harper) Williquette, Maxwell Williquette, Tony (Heidi) Trelvon, Travis (Alicia) Huizenga, granddaughter, Faith (Tim Soward) Williquette, three great-grandchildren, Kenna, Andrew and Lilith and sister, Elaine (Kenneth) Weitz. Fay was preceded in death by her loving husband, James, and son, Robin.

A memorial service will be held at St. Raphael Church 830 S. Westhaven Dr, Oshkosh on Thursday, October 14 at 12 pm. Friends and family may call from 10 am until time of service.

The family wishes to thank the many friends who came and visited Fay to pray with her, give her hope and keep her laughing.
