Obituary for Fern Florence Christensen

Fern Christensen, 81, went home to be with Jesus, October 1, 2022 at Edenbrook in Oshkosh. She was born in Bear Creek, WI on April 18, 1941 to the late Julius and Gertrude (Bremer) Christensen.

Fern worked at Checker Moving Storage as a secretary for many years, then worked for Oshkosh Tent and Awning. She loved going to church, studying the bible and was a prayer warrior. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, needlepoint, cross-stitch and many other crafts. Through the years, she made afghans, pot holders, eye glass cases with canvas, painted glassware and made many dishtowels for family, she also sold her crafts at craft fairs. Fern also had a passion for cooking.

Fern is survived by her brother, Floyd Christensen of Henderson, NV; sister, Rose Towns, of Oshkosh, WI; many nieces, and nephews, whom she took to church and made believers of Jesus Christ, they will remember, love, and cherish this forever.

Preceding her in death are her parents; siblings, Dick Christensen, Eugene Christensen, Ken Christensen, Jack Christensen, Harry Christensen, Mary Jane Diener and Violet Chapin; as well as several brother and sister-in-laws, and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at Faith Christian Center, 939 Bowen Street, Oshkosh, WI 54901 on October 29, at 4pm with Michael Magnuson officiating and a meal to follow.
