Obituary for Francis Joseph Kretschmer (Kretschmer) Jr.
Francis Joseph “Rudy” Kretschmer, 78, of Menasha, WI passed away at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Appleton, WI on Friday August 27, 2021.
He was born in Burlington, WI on November 24, 1942 to Francis and Jeanette (nee Ketterhagen) Kretschmer. He spent his early years in the Burlington area where he received his diploma from St. Mary’s High School.
Francis was a U.S. Navy Veteran where he served his country proudly. After returning home he spent many years as an Operations Supervisor for trucking companies. He worked for CW Transport in Madison, and then retired from ABF Transport in Menasha.
Surviving are his brother Carl (Mary) Kretschmer, and sister Mary Jane Lemuell. Francis had many nieces and a nephew, as well as many friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Mark, sister-in-law Sandy Kretschmer (nee Thomsen) and brother-in-law Carl Lemuell.
A private ceremony/internment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Madison at a future date.
Francis “Rudy” will always be remembered for his generosity and contagious laughter.
Military Honors will be present at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
