Obituary for Gary Walter Farber
Gary Walter Farber died May 4, 2020. He was born on May 15, 1944 to Ralph and Lorraine Farber in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Gary was a U.S. Marine veteran and served his nation during the Viet Nam War. He married Dolores Richter on January 7, 1967 and held a career as a tool and die cutter at Mercury Marine. He enjoyed model railroads, camping, and aviation.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela (James) Gustafson; son, Robert Farber; grandchildren, Kyle (Aly) Stephan, Anna (Jarred) Grimes, Reid Stephan, John (Phoebe) Farber, and Timothy Stephan; brother, Roger (Betsey) Farber; sister, Jean (Dennis) Gerth; and special friend, Mary Bartels.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Dolores Ann Farber (nee Richter); parents, Ralph and Lorraine Farber; brother, Jeff Farber; and sister, Joann Ziebel.
A private service for immediate family has been held. Burial and a celebration of Gary’s life will happen later this summer.
