Obituary for Jamie Lou Stewart

Jamie L Stewart, 56, of Oshkosh passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Jamie was born January 26, 1962 to Ralph and Nancy (Hansen) Stewart. Jamie had five children and worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing in the summer with Bud. A perpetual handy-man, he enjoyed fixing things for friends and family. He loved family gatherings and watching his grandkids play.

Jamie was preceded in death by two brothers, Rodney and Gary.

Jamie is survived by his loving parents; his children, Becky (Dennis) Wilke-Herbst, Kristina Stewart-Anderson, Cassandra, Steven, and Stephanie; his grandchildren, Hailey, Ryan, Victoria, Lucas, Faith, Kelvin, Emily, Steven Jr., Jackson, Ashton, Ryder, Michael Jr., and Cayla; siblings, Daniel, Dennis and Pamela; his many close friends and extended family; and his furry companion, Dakota.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and “his girls” at Michael D Wachtel Cancer Center for their care and compassion during Jamie’s battle.

We little knew that day how much our hearts would break. You didn’t go alone for with you, parts of us you would take. You were strong until the end and by your side we were as promised, we wouldn’t have had it any other way. You left us many memories, your love will still be our guide, though we cannot see you, we know your always by our side.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
