Obituary for John Dennis Boone
John D. Boone Jr., 56, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 1, 2022 due to heart complications. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on March 21, 1966. He is the son of the late John T. and Lois (Roeser) Boone.
John attended Green Bay West High School. He then went on to work at Wisconsin Log Homes and also became a sous chef. John married Gidget Truckey on February 12, 1996 in Green Bay. John enjoyed fishing hunting, camping, gold prospecting, grilling out, and spending time with family and friends. John’s favorite NASCAR drivers were Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. His all-time favorite football team was the Green Bay Packers – go Pack go!
John is survived by his two daughters, Ashley (Wayne) Boone of Oshkosh, WI, and Maria Boone; sister, Debra Boone of upstate NY; grandchildren, Serenity Rogers, Jorden Rogers, Preston Hull, and Logan Hull; niece, Julia Boone of Green Bay, WI; nephews, Samuel (Melissa) Lemerond of Green Bay, WI, and James Braunsky Jr. of Oshkosh, WI; he is further survived by many more nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
John is preceded in death by his parents, John T. Boone Sr. and Lois (Roeser) Boone; sisters, Vickie Lemerond, and Melanie Boone; brother, Joseph Boone; ex-wife, Gidget (Truckey) Boone; paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents; cousins, Dale Lemerond and Scott Lemerond; and many other family and some friends.
