Obituary for Julia Diane French

Julia “Nana” Diane French, age 63, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She was born outside of Detroit, Michigan on March 12, 1958 the daughter of the late Raymond and Iris Lamb. Julia took pride in being a wonderful mother and homemaker. She had a big heart, was Mom or Nana to everyone (regardless of blood relation), and always celebrated Christmas and birthdays with great festivities. She loved all animals, strawberries, ladybugs, and lighthouses (traveling with her family to see many surrounding the Great Lakes throughout the years.) She will be remembered for making people feel loved and welcomed. Her greatest joy was sharing the love of Jesus with others. She will be greatly missed on earth but we take comfort to know she is now with the Lord.

Julia is survived by her children: Timothy French, Neill (Subrina) French, Jessica (Kyle) Wagner and Melissa (Mark) Keene; grandchildren: Chloe, Anna, Jacob, Lucas, Alyssa, Jasmyne, Emma, and two additional soon to be adopted; and brothers and sisters: Raymond (Linda) Lamb, Cheryl (Tom) Weckesser Heitz, Michael (Cathy) Weckesser and Donna Baldwin. She was preceded in death by her beloved Nana, parents, Aunt Deloris, and brother, Garwin Lamb.

As she was a major supporter of the arts, her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 4 from 1-3pm at The Valley Academy for the Arts in Neenah, WI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Julia’s honor to Harbor House (a refuge for abused women and children) in Appleton, WI. They can be reached at: (920) 832-1667.
