Obituary for Norman Kenneth Wagner

Norman Kenneth Wagner, 87, fell asleep in death surrounded by family on May 15, 2023.

Norman was born in Black Creek on March 8, 1936. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Harry (30) and Evelyn (30) Wagner and brother, Marvin (2), sister, Marilyn (6 Months) brother, Vincent Wagner (81), and by his aunt and uncle, Bernice and Charlie Defferding who raised him after his parents’ death.

He was a loving father of Debra Johnson and Kelly Buenning; grandfather of Brandon Johnson, Caitlyn Richards and Kyle and (Trisha), Kara and Kadin Buenning; father-in-law to Kevin Buenning and David Johnson; grandfather-in-law to Jorge Richards.

He was a devoted and loving husband to Sandy and he was looking forward to celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary together on June 21. Norm worked as a mechanic and then owned his own business, Wagner Construction until retirement. Known by all whom he worked with as an honest, hardworking “Stormin’-Norm”, teacher, skilled house builder and Minister of Jehovah. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was faithful to his death. He would explain scriptures to anyone that wanted to learn more about God’s Kingdom. He served as an elder in the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses Neenah for many years.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday June 3, 2023 from 1pm until 3pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1200 Winneconne Ave., Neenah WI, 54956 with memorial service being held from 3pm until 4pm. The service will be available via ZOOM video conferencing upon request.
