Obituary for Paula Jean Lawniczak (Geurts)
Paula J. Lawniczak, 75, passed away in Oshkosh, WI on November 15, 2022. She was born in Wisconsin, on September 3, 1947, to Jeanette (Geohegan) and Harold Geurts.
She married Lawrence Lawniczak on May 30, 1968, together they raised two children, Jeff and Julie. Paula loved to go shopping, read books, mystery or crime novels were her favorite, she also loved to craft things such as jewelry and ceramics, she loved animals, playing scrabble, crossword puzzles, decorating, and most of all spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and laughter, and the way she always took care of others.
Paula is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Larry Lawniczak; children, Jeff (Sherry) Lawniczak, and Julie (Lawniczak) Brandt; grandchildren, Madelyn Lawniczak and Jacob Lawniczak; mother, Jeanette Geurts; brother, Jan “Bubsy” (Barb) Geurts; she is further survived by her brothers-in-law, James (Kathy) Lawniczak and Craig (Holly) Lawniczak, sisters-in-law, Barbara (Tom) Allen and Mary (Lee) Sedlacek; special friends, Lori Schuster, Dr. Kent and Julie Belville and their family; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Geurts; brother, Tom Geurts; nephew, Todd Geurts; sister-in-law, Carol Lawniczak, brother-in-law, Roger Nelson; father-in-law, Harold Lawniczak and mother-in-law, Margaret Lawniczak.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at La Sure’s Banquet Hall, 3125 S. Washburn St., Oshkosh, WI from 10AM until 2PM. Services will begin at 11:45AM followed by lunch.
