Obituary for Susan Kay Benter (Pfieffer)

Susan Kay (Pfeiffer) Benter, 66, passed away December 27, 2020 after a short battle with ovarian cancer. Sue was born July 3, 1954 to the late Larry and Jean Pfeiffer (Tobin). She was a 1972 graduate of Oshkosh High School.

Sue loved racing; she was part of the pit crew. She loved all animals and cooking.

She had many jobs throughout her life. Her favorite, besides being a mother, was owning her own restaurant in Herbster, WI. She was an extremely good cook. She loved to create her own dishes for people to enjoy. Sue returned to Oshkosh in 2017 to be closer to her family.

Sue is survived by her loving son Jason (Alex) Benter, brothers Mike (Mary Kay) Pfeiffer, John ( Peggy) Pfeiffer and sister Patti (Tom) Fenner. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. And her best “fur baby” friend Nala.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step father, Lyle Tobin, grandparents, and special Aunt Sherry.

Our family would like to extend an extra special thank you to the staff at Ascension Mercy Hospital and the Michael D. Wachtel Cancer Center for all the wonderful care they provided for Sue and our family.
Per Sue’s wishes there will be no services. The family will have a private celebration of Sue’s life this summer.
