Obituary for Thomas Russell Adams

Tom wanted us to keep this "short and sweet'' so here goes...

Tom, age 57 of Oshkosh (formerly of Marinette) Wisconsin passed away on September 19, 2022. Tom had such a unique personality. He always greeted everyone he met with such a wide grin and the same self-deprecating joke using words about himself that we can't put into print. He had such a funny sense of humor, always telling crude jokes but he could be short-tempered and stubborn too! He had a heart of solid gold and was extremely giving of his time. Anytime someone was in need, he would drop everything to help. He often spent hours upon hours in his garage helping family, friends and even strangers to rebuild their cars...all for a case of beer! He worked all day and long into the nights to provide for his family. He had his associates degree in Automotive Technology and was an ASE certified Master Tech for over 30 years working for a few dealerships and even won the golden tool award 7 years in a row. He went on to own his own Cornwell Tool truck franchise for several years. He loved sharing his passion of restoring rifles, motorcycles and even his 1987 Camaro Iroc-Z28 with his friends and family. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and swimming in the lake. Tom will be forever remembered for his poor fashion choices of long socks, cut-off jeans and raggedy t-shirts; his love of 70's and 80's rock music, his blueberry gravy and other weird food concoctions.

He is survived by his blushing young bride Julie to whom he was married for 37 years; his children: Tanya (Kyle) Butcher, Thomas (Britni) Adams and Jonathon (Samantha) Adams; grandchildren: Kaleb, Anna, Lauren, Emelia and soon to be new grandson Jack; sister, Mary Paul; brothers: Mike Pecha and John (Bobbi) Adams; uncle, Bill Parthie; brothers-in-law: Jeff Throop and James (Delia) Monasmith; several nieces, nephews and cousins; his aunts: Margaret “Mugs” and Mary; and his friends Gene, Ryan, Mike, Justin and Bruce. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Manderfield-Meicht; his step-father, Jerome Kobishop; his mother and father-in-law James and Jerri Monasmith; his aunt, Terry Parthie; and his grandparents, Dutch and Helen Manderfield.

Tom's family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Heraly and the wonderful staff at the cancer center and also a big thank you to the Angels working at Moments Hospice...especially a big thank you to Daphne.

Well Tom could talk your ear off, and I guess we did about him too. Nothing much more to say except Tom, we love you. We will forever miss you and as the song says "Don't Fear the Reaper."
