Travis “Tre” Leander Wiggs

Travis “Tre” L. Wiggs, age 49, of Oshkosh, WI passed away on July 29, 2020 in Milwaukee, WI following an acute illness related to Sickle Cell disease. Travis spent his life battling Sickle Cell disease and had made many trips to the hospital to manage his symptoms.

Travis was born in Millen, GA on June 16, 1971 to Alma “Boo” Wiggs and Bobby Chance.

Travis grew up and went to school in Jenkins County Georgia before moving to Texas briefly. Travis relocated to Oshkosh, WI many years later. Travis worked for the Corrections Department in Texas prior to moving to Oshkosh. While in Oshkosh, Travis worked for The Bar of Oshkosh.

Travis enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Travis enjoyed fishing, playing video games and enjoying sports with family and friends. Travis was loved deeply by his family and those that knew him. Travis had a unique way of making everyone feel loved and included.

Travis is survived by his father, Bobby Chance; 2 daughters, Leandera “Moni” Wiggs (Kizzy Lee) of Georgia and Jade Middleton of Texas; a grandson Avery Lee; 3 stepsons Brandon Hart, Nicolas Hart and Steven Hart of Oshkosh; step-brothers Grant Scott Jr. and Steven; step-sister Nell Carr; aunts Nancy Chishom and Lynette Loch of Oshkosh and Joann Shumake of Georgia; uncle Jimmy Chance (Drenette) of Virginia; cousins Chris Carter, Thad Chishom (Samantha), Trinisha Chishom (Tyran Hunt), and Urlanda Justiniano of Oshkosh, Jason King (Dawn) of Neenah, Teresa Wiggs of Memphis, TN, Felicia Simmons (George) of Augusta, GA, Vicki of Georgia, Karlyna Lund (Kevin), Kyle King, Kris King (Kalei), Kolton King, and Kory King of Washington, special family friends Lateria Garrett, Bernie Mays, Mikayla Mays and Sydney Mays of Oshkosh, 28 nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends.

Travis was preceded in death by his mother, Alma Wiggs-Gay, step-father Eddie Gay, brother Marion “Marty” Wiggs, grandmothers Eva Mae Hobson and Marion Chance, grandfather Willie Chance Sr., uncles Jesse King, Jack Wiggs, Emory King and Willie Chance Jr. and cousin Corrinne Justiniano.

Services will be held on August 8, 2020 at South Park in Oshkosh, WI at 2 PM. Pastor Joe Butler of Bethel Worship Center in Oshkosh, WI will preside over the services.
