Obituary for Wendy M Baehman

Wendy M. Baehman of Oshkosh, age 42, was called to heaven January 5, 2023 where she can finally rest. She passed away at Aurora Medical Center after many years of battling with chronic illness. Wendy passed with her loved ones surrounding her.

Wendy was born to Peter and Susan on January 17, 1980 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 1998. Much of her life, Wendy was a bartender, a job she truly enjoyed and made lifelong friends through. Wendy enjoyed bowling and playing darts in various leagues. She liked to read, play dice and card games, complete word and jigsaw puzzles, and diamond art. However, spending time with her many children was the activity she loved most, as her children were the center of her being. May her strength and perseverance live on within them.

She is survived by her daughters, Summer Downs, Lanie (Tyler) Helfrich, Paige Helfrich, Rosalee Baehman, Ava Resop, Bella Resop and Amanda (Andrew) Higgins; her sons, Austin Albrecht and Gavin Resop; her granddaughter, Lila Malouf; her stepmother, Cindy (Peter) Baehman; father, Peter (Cindy) Baehman and stepfather, Keith Cory; her brothers, Charles (Sharon) Schmidt, Ryne (Kayla) Baehman, and Brett Baehman; her sister, Jessica (Jake) Robbins; and many of her nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Susan Cory; grandmother, Melba Cox; grandfather, Roy Cox; grandmother, Sally Baehman; and grandfather, Donald Baehman.

We will honor Wendy’s life on January 14 with a 2. p.m. visitation followed by a 3 p.m. service officiated by Reverend Annette (Andi) Wolf at United Church of Christ- Emmanuel at 1306 Michigan St Oshkosh, Wisconsin 54902. We invite everyone in attendance to wear Brewer or Packer attire in remembrance of Wendy’s passion for her sports teams. Food, provided by close friends Jason and Kelly Dozzy, will be provided following the service.

We wish to invite friends and family to a burial and “Celebration of Life” for Wendy within the warmer months. More details will be posted to Facebook in the future.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established via GoFundMe.

A heartfelt thank you to DaVita Oshkosh West Dialysis and Aurora Medical Center for their dedication and compassionate care for Wendy throughout the years, and their prayers for Wendy and her family.
