Obituary for William P. Bouras

William Paul Bouras Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2022. He was born May 22, 1932 in Chicago Illinois where he lived his first 10 years of life. He and his family moved to Gary Indiana for a few years and then settled in Oshkosh Wisconsin. In 1949 Bill joined the United States Army. He was stationed in Kansas, Colorado, and Germany. While serving, Bill was a member of the US Army Boxing team until he discharged in March 1953. In 1954 he married Donna Mae (Butt) Bouras. Together they raised five children in the city of Oshkosh then moved his family to Winneconne WI in 1971. Bill was employed by Morgan Doors for many years and Leach Company for over 30 years until he retired. Bill was an avid hunter of bird and deer. In his early years, Bill not only enjoyed his hunting trips with the guys and his son's, but also his yearly Las Vegas trips, Bowling, and Bingo with his wife Donna. After retirement Bill and Donna spent most of their time at their hunting land in Leopolis, WI. Bill loved to work his land, cut wood, make cedar swings and spend time at the casino. He was preceded in death by his first born, SueAnn Bouras - Steig. Parents, Nicolas and Hazel Bouras. Brothers, Nicolas, Richard, and Angelo Bouras. Sisters, Marge Bouras Schultz and Jeanette Bouras Eilers. He leaves behind his loving wife Donna Mae, children: MaryLou (Mark) Fabiano, Bill Jr (Kari) Bouras, Nick Sr (Kathy) Bouras, and Lisa Bouras. Grandchildren: Raymond (Jody) Steig, Robert (Jenny) Steig, David Jr (Denise) Ulrich, Terry (Audrey) Ulrich, William (Heather) Bouras, Elizabeth (Tom) Last, Nick Bouras Jr, Derek (Megan) Blochwitz, Malissa (Aaron) Knapp and Drew Blochwitz. Step-granddaughters, Sherry and Samantha Dewhurst. 33 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. Bill will be deeply missed by all. He will be welcomed and loved by all who were waiting for him. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
