Obituary for William Arthur Levenhagen

William Levenhagen, 93, passed away May 26, 2023. He was born on November 15, 1929 in Eldorado, WI to Elvin and Ruth (Henning) Levenhagen. He married Omra Schumacher on October 9, 1954 at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Bill proudly served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict. He worked for over 30 years as a service manager and mechanic at Dahl Motors, he loved to tinker and make things last, he also family get togethers and summer vacations spent going to Shawano Lake. Bill was a founding charter member of the Van Dyne Sportsman Club, he was the last surviving charter member.

Bill is survived by his children, Teri (Mike) Brennand, Doug (Linda) Levenhagen, Phillip (Debbie Lightner) Levenhagen, and Lisa (Tim) Schneider; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his siblings, Dorothy (Bob) Kurth, Leona Miles, Winnie McCullough and Elvin (Joyce) Levenhagen; as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Omra Levenhagen; his parents; grandchildren, Lee Brennand, Sara (nee Brennand) Mueller; and daughter-in-law, Margee “Magi” Levenhagen; siblings, Rosie Kraun, Faye Henke, Robert Levenhagen, and Roy Levenhagen.

A celebration of life will be held at St John’s Nekimi, on June 3 beginning at 11AM and burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
