Mom, you taught us how to love
And to show compassion to all around.
Now you lie before us still,
In silence, without a sound.

You put the Prayer Book in our hands,
As well as Jesus in our hearts.
We’ll keep everything that you’ve instilled in us,
For it is time for you to part.

Thank you, Mother, for a job well done.
We promise it will not go for naught.
As we pass forward to our own children
Everything that you have taught.

Goodbye, we know that it’s time to leave,
To enjoy your eternal rest.
Lord, watch over
