Obituary for Beryl Van Wyck

Beryl Van Wyk age 87 a resident of Colony Oaks Care Center in Appleton died peacefully Monday afternoon November 1, 2004. She was born on August 9, 1917 in Wisconsin Rapids the daughter of Frank and Effie (Piper) Jeffers. She was a 1936 graduate of Washington High School in New London where she was active in and excelled in debate, public speaking, drama and music. In later years, Beryl enjoyed baking, was an excellent cook and was known for her brownies. She loved listening to Christian Radio and listened to it right up to her last moments. Politics was an interest of hers. She took pride in keeping abreast of what was going on; the debates, the presidential election and she loved sharing her views with people.

Beryl is survived by her brothers; Jim (Corrinne) Jeffers of Green Bay, Kenneth (Donna) Jeffers of Sun City, Arizona, Sister; Patricia Bonk of Edina, Minnesota, Sisters in law; Shirley Jeffers of New London and Lorraine Jeffers of Milwaukee, other “family” include her dear friends; Mary Murry, Carol Halverson, Shelly Jacobs and Donna Steinke, her guardian for the past 15 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; John, C.A., Howard, Harold, Dean and her sister, Janet.

Cremation has taken place and Graveside Committal Services will be held on Tuesday November 9, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Cemetery in New London, WI.
