Obituary for Joyce Elaine Oppermann (Flansburg)

Joyce Elaine  Oppermann (Flansburg)
Joyce Elaine Oppermann, 89, of Neenah, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at ThedaCare Hospital in Neenah. Joyce was born on June 12, 1928 to the late Raymond and Astrid (Holm) Flansburg in Racine, Wisconsin. Joyce enjoyed playing bridge as well as being a member of the Church Choir where she loved to sing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends in northern Wisconsin. She was always able to overcome many obstacles with the Lords help. From multiple surgeries to cancer, she always had a smile on her face and knew the Lord had great plans for her. On June 30, 1951 she married the love of her life, Walter Oppermann. They went on to have three wonderful children. She was a loving mother, always encouraging and supporting them in all they did.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 66 years, Walter, her children: Todd Oppermann, Sue Oppermann, Terry Oppermann, grandchildren: Andrew Oppermann, Elise Oppermann, her brother: Ron (Jean) Flansburg, as well as many other family and friends.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Astrid (Holm) Flansburg.

A memorial service for Joyce will take place on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Peace Lutheran Church, 1228 S. Park Ave. in Neenah at 11:00 AM. A time of visitation will take place at Peace Lutheran Church prior to the memorial service from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers donations will be forwarded to Peace Lutheran Church in Joyce’s name.
