Obituary for Glenn O. White

Glenn White, age 84, of Oshkosh, passed away at Bethel Home on Monday, December 1, 2014. He was born in Fond du Lac on January 18, 1930, the son of the late Wilbur and Elizabeth (Davies) White. On March 12, 1955 he married Marcella Reilley in Freeport, IL. He was proud to serve in the U.S. Army. Glenn was an over the road truck driver for many years and taught a defensive driving and other driving courses. Glenn will be remembered for being a loving father and husband.Glenn is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marcella; children: Fawn (Duane) Schlagel, Roger (Becky) White, Richard (Helene) White, Mark (Faith) White, Dean White, Sherry (Ron) Andreas and Kelly White; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Glenn is preceded in death by his sister, Ethel Jean Weddington; and brother, Clifford (Betty) White.The memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1072 Honey Creek Rd., Oshkosh, with Rev. Kim Krogstad officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2014. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Bethel Home for their care over the past year. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
