Obituary for Jacquelyn Schmick

Jacquelyn (Jacki) Lou Schmick, age 53, of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at home with her family by her side after fighting a 13 year battle with cancer. Jacquelyn was born on September 16, 1960, in Oconto, WI to Edward Sylvester “Buck” Longsine, and Betty Jane (Morrell) Longsine. Jacki lived a wonderful life, she may have kissed a few frogs and even a toad in her lifetime, but she finally found her Prince Charming when she met Jeffrey L. Schmick. While in remission the two fell madly in love and soon thereafter Jeff made Jacki his Princess. They married in October of 2006 and had a love like no other. They both shared a passion for spending time with their family, friends, and especially their grandchildren. They loved camping, traveling, boating, gardening, and going to the farmers market.
Jacki is survived by her husband Jeff, her brothers; Lionel Longsine, James Longsine, Richard Longsine, Daniel Longsine, Terry Longsine, William ( Sue Ellen) Longsine, Chris Thomas, Arthur ( Christine) Thomas, sisters; Sallie Davis, Margo (Ron) Nowak, Virginia Orlanda, and Penny Buie, children; Jesse D. Diener, Sierra (Joe) Edlund, and Patrick ( Amber) McCarthy.
Jacki was grandmother to six amazing grandchildren; Louis “Tres” Leroy Delise III, William Diener, Briar Diener, Aubrey McCarthy, Kole Paltzer, and Soleil Edlund.
Jacki is further survived by Karen Tiffany, Robin Vaughn, and Patty Longsine three amazing, dear, and most wonderful friends.
Jacki was preceded in death by her parents; Betty, and Buck, son, Jesse Desmond Diener, and Great Aunt Anna.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013, at River of Life Church, 440 W. South Park Avenue, Oshkosh from 11:00 a.m. until the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jared Longsine officiating.
