Obituary for John K. Cummings

John K. Cummings, age 73, of Kaukauna, died Monday, August 15, 2005 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born November 12, 1931 in Bear Creek, WI., the son of Edward and Regina Dweyer Cummings. He married Lois M. Genske on January 8, 1955 in Appleton, WI and together they were blessed with three children. John was a retiree of International Paper Company. He had a passion for flowers and was known for his rose bushes. In later years, he spent time salmon fishing with his son, playing Bingo at Parkside and always enjoyed the company of his dog.

John is lovingly survived by his wife over 50 years, Lois; children, Bruce (Mary Jane) Cummings of Appleton, Diane (Joseph) Verkuilen of Kaukauna and Bradley Cummings of Kaukauna; grandchildren, Christopher, John, Elizabeth, Melissa, Annie & Melanie Cummings, Regina Jackson & Kyle Verkuilen; great granddaughter, Tarsa Cummings; two brothers, one sister; his brother in law and sisters in law, Janice and Lester Besaw of Kaukauna, and Rose Cummings, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant sons, two sisters and one brother.

The family would like to thank Parkside Care Center, Appleton Medical Center and Dr. Chad Schneider for their compassionate care and support given to John and his family.

In respect to John’s memory, a private family service will be held.
