Obituary for June Janke

June V. (Doemel) Janke, age 87, of Oshkosh, died March 6, 2017 at Aurora Hospital with her grandchildren by her side. She was born in Oshkosh, April 14, 1929, the daughter of Harold and Beatrice (Barlow) Doemel. June married Willard W. Janke April 14, 1951. Together they operated the family farm. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, golfing and playing bridge. Her family includes her sons, David (Lori) Janke of Redgrante, Andrew C. Janke of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Bill (Jenny) Janke, Tina (Janke) and Adam LaPoint, Jim (Melissa) Janke; great granddaughter Devon; sisters, Marilyn (Dennis) Hammerseng of MN, Deanna Sterns of Oshkosh; half siblings, Robert, Richard, Harold Jr., Steven, James, Charles, and Jack Doemel; half sisters, Patricia and Barbara; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willard and son, Russell.June’s request was not to have a formal service. The family would like to thank the staff of Aurora Hospital and Aurora Hospice for the excellent care given to June.
