Obituary for Mary Jean Charneski

Mary Jean Charneski, age 54, of Rosendale, passed away Friday morning, October 6, 2006, at home with her family by her side. Mary was born in Fond du Lac on January 19,1952, the daughter of Earl and Dorothy (Brown) Rietz. On December 28, 1968, she married Donald Charneski at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fond du Lac Wisconsin. Mary worked in Fond du Lac as a pharmacy technician at Kentron Drugstore, Osco Drug, and the Walmart Pharmacy. Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed quilting, gardening, boating and spending quality time with family and friends.

Mary is survived by her husband Donald Charneski, four children, Jason (Kristin) Charneski, Stephanie (Samuel) Zarzana, Laura Charneski, Nicholas (fiance Carrie Bohn) Charneski, three grandchildren, Kayla, Kaden, and Lailah, her parents, Earl and Dorothy Reitz, five sisters, Joyce Pittler, Shirley Krueger, Linda Taylor, Nancy Fields, Bonnie Hodgden, five brothers, Gene, Roger, Terry, William, and John Reitz, special friends, Charles Marousek, Carol and Bill Kinyon, John and Kathy Meyers, Gary and Joannie Greenfield, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by one son Daniel Charneski, and one sister Sandra Reitz.

A Memorial Service for Mary will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2006, at 11:00 A.M., at St. Steven's Lutheran Church in Rogersville. Visitation will be held on Saturday, at the church, from 9:00 A.M. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Mary's name. The Charneski family would like to thank Dr. Dar, and the staffs of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, and the St. Agnesian Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion that was given to Mary and her family.
