Obituary for Mary Jane Zimar

Mary Jane Zimar, age 86, of Oshkosh, died unexpectedly in her sleep on Sunday Morning, May 25, 2014 at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh. Mary was born September 11, 1927, in the Town of Brooklyn, Green Lake Co., Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Nehls) Boese. She married John S. Zimar and he preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 2005. Mary had worked for and retired from Sand-Knit in Berlin after many years of service. She enjoyed gardening, camping, and fishing at Brekke Lake. Mary was very active at Evergreen and spent many hours partaking in all the activities they offered. Her all-time favorite activity was working picture puzzles with her many friends.

Survivors include her sons, William C. (Susan Neitzel) Zimar of Pickett and Robert C. Zimar of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Suzanne C. (Timothy S.) Laszewski of Menasha; grandchildren, Nicholas I. (Cassie) Laszewski of Appleton, Douglas A.(fiancée Mallory Thome) Laszewski of Appleton; brother, Daniel (Mabel) Boese of Princeton; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 in the Chapel at Evergreen Retirement Community, 1130 N. Westfield St., Oshkosh at 10:00 a.m.
