Obituary for Oscar Guse

Oscar Guse, 79, Clintonville, Wis., passed away early Friday morning April 13, 2007, after a brief stay at Greentree Rehab center in Clintonville. The son of the late Gustav and Carolyn Guse, he was born in North Dakota, but moved with his family to Montana at the age of 3. Oscar worked in farming and ranching until he joined the service honorably serving our country in both World War II and Korea. In 1952, Oscar married E. Jean Magee and started a family in Montana. In 1968, they moved to Wisconsin where Oscar was employed by Appleton Papers for 24 years. Upon retiring in 1993, he continued to enjoy camping, fishing, and spending time with his family.


In addition to his wife Jean, he is survived by his six children, Victoria (James) Spence, Greg (Vickie) Guse, Pam (Don) Alston, Bill Guse, Vern Guse, Jon (Lea) Guse; 10 grandchildren, Melissa(Jake) Tress, Steve Guse, Derek Guse, Jared Spence, Matt Spence, Sarah Alston, Dana Alston, Gina Alston, Brennan Guse, Jessica Guse; three brothers and two sisters.


In lieu of a funeral service, the family will hold a private Memorial Service on Wednesday April 18, 2007.
