Robert F. Pahlow, age 64, of Oshkosh, was born April 22, 1940, in Galesburg, Illinois to John and Martha Pahlow. He married Sharon Andrashko on December 13, 1996. After a long fight with cancer, he passed away peacefully with family members at his side at Cherry Meadow’s Hospice-Peabody on January 2, 2005.

He was a 1958 graduate of Oshkosh High School and attended two years of College at Wisconsin State College, where he received his degree in Meat Cutting. Bob served as a Military Policeman from 1963 until his discharge in 1965 serving with the 720th Military Police Battalion. While in the service, he was very proud to have served his country. His biggest highlight of being in the service however, was having guarded Martin Luther King in his walk from Fort Hood, Texas to Salma, Alabama.

Bob was a meat cutter by trade; he worked at Kroger’s and Main Clover in Oshkosh and Kroger’s in Milwaukee, later becoming a machine operator. He worked for Jay Manufacturing, Arrowhead Conveyor and then retired after seven years with Pack Air Conveyor in Neenah in January of 2004. Bob enjoyed boating in his younger years and later he loved ice fishing and hunting along with smoking cat fish and making home-made brat’s, that every one that ever tasted loved, but he always had to do these things with his best buddy Dean Seibenhaas.

Bob is survived by his wife Sharon of eight years; his children, Joseph (Carissa) Pahlow of Oshkosh, Cynthia (Peter) Lowe of Sherwood, Paula (Joe) Schwartz of Oshkosh and their mother Barbara (Roger) Hageman of Redgranite; step-children, Gary Andrashko of Plymouth, Kelly (Kathy) Andrashko of Omro and Troy (Fiancee Renee) Andrashko of Oshkosh; father in law, Edward Ellner of Tomahawk; grandchildren, William & Blake Pahlow, Brittany & Madelyn Schwartz and one step grandchild, Grandpa Bud’s Matthew Andrashko; one sister, Sue (Bob) Cikanek of Prior Lake, MN; one uncle, George (Hazel) Pahlow of Galva, Il; sisters in law, Betty (Russell) Olson of Oshkosh, Carol Reinke of Almond; brother in law, Gary (Carol) Ellner; cousins, Jon Pahlow of California, Larry (Kendra) Pahlow of Florida; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John and Martha Pahlow and a brother in law, Marvin Reinke.

A time of gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday January 7, 2005 at Bethlehem Inn Chapel of St. Martin De Porrers, Father Carr’s Place 2 B, Hwy 41 & 21, next to K-Mart from 3-5:45 p.m. with a Memorial Service to be held at 6:00 p.m. with Fr.
