Robert P. Shea, age 83, of rural Oshkosh, died peacefully, November 14, 2006, on the Shea Family Homestead, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born February 2, 1923 in Oshkosh, the son of James and Elvira (Morrisey) Shea. Bob attended Oshkosh State Teachers College before going into the U.S. Army-Air Force and serving our country during WWII. He was united in marriage to Phyllis M. Kotowski on February 26, 1949 at St. Josaphat Parish in Oshkosh. Bob was a devoted husband and dedicated family man who had a wonderful sense of humor. He not only treasured his wife and children, he also enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He farmed on the family homestead his entire life. In his spare time, Bob also enjoyed reading, bowling, and watching western movies.

Bob is loved and will be deeply missed by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis; Bob’s daughter, Ellen (Thomas) Lloyd of Oshkosh, their children, Jerod (Shelby) and their child, Mallie Jo; and Josh; Bob’s daughter, Linda (Jeffrey) Briese of Oshkosh, their children, Tennelle (Marc) Davis, Missy (Special friend Chris), and James; Bob’s son, Robert M. (Sue) Shea of Oshkosh, their children, Jennifer (Mark) Rutkowski, and their daughter, Maddy; Tracy (Jay) Oblewski, their children, Aspen and Evan; and Lisa Shea (Special friend, Derek); Bob’s daughter, Susan (Jeffrey) Houle of Oshkosh, their children, Haley (Special friend, Keven) and Jason. Bob is further survived by his brother, Jack Shea of Omro; sisters in law, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Eleanor McLaren, and Alice Short; and brothers, Gerald, Jim and Phil Shea.

The family will greet family and friends on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at St. Josaphat Parish, 1332 Spruce St., Oshkosh from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lambert, Dr. Zarnosa and staff, Affinity Hospice, Denise, Jackie, Roxanne and Vicki Thomas for all their caring and assistance.
