Obituary for Suzan J. Eichsteadt

Suzan J. Eichsteadt, 64, Appleton, died on Sunday, August 29, 2004 at home following a short, but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 19, 1939 in Winneconne, WI to Herbert and Linda (Drews) Bruss. Sue married Donald Eichsteadt in September of 1963 in Winneconne, WI.
She is survived by her husband, Don, Appleton, two sons: Michael (Mary) and Jon (Dawn), all of Appleton; five grandchildren: Morgan, Whitney, Alan, Parker and Julia Eichsteadt; three sisters: Marceil (Emil) Schmoker, Oshkosh; June (Rich) Kleinschmidt, Oshkosh; Lula (Dallas) Krueger, Wild Rose; father-in-law: Reuben Eichsteadt, Appleton; two sisters-in-law: Sandy Eichsteadt, Appleton; Jan (Marc) Gifford, Appleton; one brother-in-law: Larry Krueger, Oshkosh. Sue is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, one brother (Alvin Bruss), two sisters (Leona Krueger & Marion Haak); and her mother-in-law (Althea Eichsteadt).
The family would like to extend special appreciation to AMC’s Cancer Center nurses and doctors and Theda-Care Hospice, especially Dana, for the special care and compassion you gave Sue during her illness. Thank you so much for sharing your kindness and talents.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2004, at 11 am, at Riverview Evangelical Lutheran Church, 136 W. Seymour St., Appleton, with Rev. Dennis Belter officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 9 am until the hour of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Sue’s name.
