Obituary for Winter Rose Heise
Winter Rose Heise, age 19, of Oshkosh, Went Home on July 17, 2008, after a 4 year battle with a degenerative nerve disease. Winter was born on December 28, 1988, in Oshkosh to Jerry and Debbie Heise. Winter is best remembered for her sweetness, her silliness and surrounding herself with anything pink. She loved to hunt, fish and practice her Tae Kwon Do. She collected die cast cars and beanie babies. She spent time listening to music and watching movies.
Winter is survived and will be missed by her parents, Jerry and Debbie Heise of Oshkosh; her sister, Tara Heise (fiancée Dan Bean) of Oshkosh; her grandparents, Bonnie Case, Dave Ziegenhagen, Irene Kallas, and Bob Heise; her pets, Sasha and Wulfie;
she is further survived by her aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial is being established in Winter’s name. The family would like to thank Badger Mining for all the help over the years, Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee for their professionalism and care of Winter, and the Oshkosh School System.
Sometimes God picks the flower
that is still in full bloom;
Sometimes the rosebud’s chosen
that we feel He’s picked too soon.
Sometimes the flower is fading
with petals floating down,
But God knows the perfect time
to gather flowers from the ground.
There is a heavenly garden
in which God takes great pleasure
because He’s placed within it
the loved ones that we treasure.
He walks among the blossoms
giving them eternal rest,
and I know that it must please Him
because He chose our very best.
